Thanks to my good friends Kafkas Orient Bazaar for this cool recommendation. Taking influences such as The Maccabees, Bloc Party and Cold War Kids, these German kids know their indie rock. Their sound isn’t that generic boring stuff, they are taking what they like and fusing into something really great. Chinese Food and Videotapes features a pretty cool main riff and they expand upon it with jittery drum beats and solid chorus’. My favourite song is Night After Night. It incorporates a really sharp, high pitched guitar progression, some more solid chorus’ plus the added bonus of nice vocal work.
