I feel so left behind, I haven’t been listening to much new so I will just share two great tracks I’ve listened to recently.
I picked up the Bon Iver album, which was so greatly praised last year and I think it’s fantastic. All those who held it so high were right, and it’s a shame I didn’t jump into it at first, simply because the singer’s voice put me off a bit. Creature Fear is my favourite so far, with slow and beautiful Fleet Foxes hymn intro breaking into pummeling drums and passionate guitar strumming. A gorgeous track.

I’ve had this kicking in my iTunes library a while, started listening and couldn’t help but be wowed by the first track, Death. A steady bass line with loud, dramatic crashes of drums and guitars makes this song an epic introduction to their debut.
